Why Writing Is the Key to Your 6-Figure Coaching Business

One of the most meaningful aspects of my work as a life coach has been the process of writing — not as a marketing task, but as a method of inquiry. For me, writing is how ideas are tested, developed, and ultimately clarified. It is both a tool for personal reflection and a foundation for professional credibility.

Before I share anything publicly — whether it’s a talk, a course, or a client framework — I write… Not just to draft content, but to think. I write to understand what I’m actually trying to say, and why it matters. That process is non-negotiable for me. It’s how I arrive at truth — or at least, at clarity about what I believe.

In this sense, I view writing as an essential discipline in my work as a spiritual life coach. It is where I engage most honestly with my own thinking, and where my philosophy begins to take shape. Over time, I’ve come to see this not as a side process, but as part of the core work. The ideas that become my frameworks and teaching tools are refined through the process of writing.

I have found that my clients and readership are looking for depth. They are looking for leaders who think, not just speak.

Writing gives coaches the opportunity to demonstrate this depth. But more importantly, it gives us the opportunity to develop it.

There is a difference between having life experience and having a method. Experience matters, but until it is organized and expressed, it often remains informal — powerful, but not yet teachable.

Writing allows us to translate that experience into something structured, communicable, and credible.

This is particularly important for coaches who want to work at a higher level. When you’re offering premium services, your clients are not only investing in your presence — they’re investing in your ideas. They want to know that your approach is grounded in something beyond intuition. They want to see that you’ve thought it through.

Writing is where that thinking happens. And it shows.

My latest ebook is called Prioritize Your Calling: A Quick-Start Guide to Becoming a Life Coach with Credibility, Purpose, and a Clear Path Forward. I wrote it to provide a thoughtful introduction to the coaching path — one that speaks directly to women who are already respected leaders in their communities, professions, or families, and who are now considering what it might look like to formalize their role as a guide.

This ebook is a short, structured overview of what it means to become a coach with integrity — someone who is trained, prepared, and ready to build something meaningful from the work she already does informally.

I hope it will be useful to women who are serious about this transition, and who want a clearer framework for how to begin.
