First of all, it ain’t fun traveling through a third world country if you ain’t doing anything to help the situation. Giving money to little beggar children breeds a mentality of poverty and keeps you a mere pawn in their eyes and in the scheme of disenfranchisement. Taking pictures of people living their lives is the same as treating them like animals in a zoo and it feels really weird. Life in Nepal is beautiful because of it’s rich colors, textures, smells, sounds and rituals. But when I come back, it won’t be behind the glass veil of tourism. Yesterday’s eclipse in my career sector has me exploring opportunities in spirituality, tourism, art and entrepreneurship.
~Who knew that I’d be taking groups on spiritual journeys around the world and also that my mom would die a year later???
